@ESFAndy011 no no don’t misunderstand I know you were not saying rape was natural, i was just using that passage to show you that the word “intercourse” was pertaining to the towns people wanting to have sexual intercourse with the guy not have verbal intercourse (I.E. raping and killing his concubine while he escaped).

@ESFAndy011 well you have to understand that, that is just one way to look at it. later in the passage to keep the people away, the traveler gave his female concubine to the crowd so he could escape which they raped and beat her to death. Now most people would not consider it natural. 90% of people who are homosexual have had a traumatic experience in their life thats documented. but people also say that masturbation is natural but the bible considers it unclean. so it’s all on how it’s viewed

@bad74maverick Sorry if I sounded as if I was trying to push my beliefs on you, wasn’t my intention man.
But the word “intercourse” is pretty much any kind of interactiviy between people, verbal or physical. And if it was sexual, homosexuality is not the only pattern here, but also the fact that they sounded like they wanted to have THAT kind of intercourse with him against his will, homosexual or otherwise. AKA: raping.
I just can’t get why would something that is in you naturally be a SIN.

@ESFAndy011 All of israel to rise up and destroy the city for it tried to commit such a despicable act. And the Israelites did so. now in my opinion (just my opinion) that seems clear. There some other passages in the bible but I would have to think of them. And no im not a gay basher I think if that is their choice so be it just don’t push your beliefs on me. tolerance is a two way street, accept gays are here to stay and accept that not everyone will like their choice. my opinion though.

@ESFAndy011 now this is just my opinion now. God destroyed gib’e ah in the book of judges because the towns people tried to take a traveler (also a priest) and I am quoting here “Bring out the man that came into your house, that we may have intercourse with him.” next verse is the owner of the house speaking “No, my brothers,do not do anything wrong, please, since this man has come into my house. Do not commit this disgraceful folly.” In chapter 20 it tells of god telling……..

@bad74maverick As for Gomor’rah, like with Sodom and the other 3 cities, the reasons for their destruction were “going after strange flesh”, which can easily be determined as zoophilia (intercourse with animals) and not homosexuality.
…and no, I’m not gay. Just saying before you start thinking that.

@bad74maverick The Sodom God destroyed contained acts of necrophilia, raping, etc. IDK about homosexual acts. But what you quoted right there was probably a mistranslation to begin with. “Man lying down with man” or “woman lying down with woman” might as well just mean respecting someone else’s privacy, and “man lying down with woman” simply means reproducing.
Homosexuality can’t be a sin, as it is within their nature. There is NOTHING they can do to change that, as it is not intentional.

@ESFAndy011 except for that passage in the bible that says “Man shall not lie down with man nor woman with woman.” Or the fact that god destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for that very reason but you might have missed that passage.

@ejgiv Homosexuality depends purely on one’s point of view. Why do you think some countries allow gay marriages and others forbid it? There are just no clear writings in the Bible that necessarily indicate homosexuality as a sin. There’s sodomy, true, but there’s far worse in the concept of sodomy than homosexuality by itself. Zoophilia, pedophilia… you get the picture. The day these major networks start broadcasting THAT kind of crap, I’ll support your statement fully.

@writergabriel I would love to read your novel is it on sale or is it still in the process of being written? There are too many story lines about the weak damsel in destress falling for the Buffy vampire or man I’m tired of hetrosexual bring on the other relationships

It’s great to see such a hit series as Desperate Housewives develop a lesbian theme.
My novel, Seeking Sara Summers, has a very similar storyline: a woman unhappy with her marriage and searching for a more authentic life, who never considered “barking up that tree,” now considers expanding her universe!
