  • Thanks for that great note, Savannah Grandfather! Hope just came home from the hospital today!

Thanks Davida! I gave Hope a kiss for you yesterday, and told her it was from you.

  • You’ve Been Flickrwhacked!

This photo is the unique result of a two word flickr search for repeater and planet.

We’d be honoured if you added your photo to the Flickrwhack pool.

Then, if you’ve nothing better to do, why not go and find another Flickrwhack and add this comment to your discovery?

  • Bwah ha ha! I was wondering why this photo keeps popping up in multiple unrelated Flickr searches! Now I’ve seen all the text you added I see why. "Viewed 41,439 times". Um hum. This is a great photo of James Monroe and Nikola Tesla flying a Zeppelin from Mecca to Venus :-)

    Comment by Infrogmation — August 17, 2010 @ 2:57 pm

  • OK Infrogmation, just set your search for tags instead of full text. I was being a proud Grandpa putting up all that trivia on Hope’s birth date. I didn’t think Nikola Tesla would mind.

March 5, 1904 – Nikola Tesla describes the process of ball lightning formation.
Too cool! Only 105 years ago!

    Comment by guano — August 17, 2010 @ 3:35 pm

  • LOL, if you can get everyone on Flickr to always use relevent tags, that would work great! I’m just amused that this pic keeps popping up in so very many searches. Looking for Creative Commons licensed photos on almost any topic, this pic seems to pop up in about half of them. If there’s any other photo on Flickr that pops up irrelevently in Flickr searches nearly as much as this one, I haven’t seen it. You win, I guess! Cheers!

    Comment by Infrogmation — August 17, 2010 @ 4:25 pm

  • Your point is well put, Infrogmation, and true as the day is long. It is shameless to put large amounts of text under a photo, instead of in a comment below.

Here’s an amusing side-bar… One word can do almost as much as a mountain of text… just add "barefoot" to your tags on any photo, and watch the views pile up! A single word draws in views like a magnet. Try it! Not that Flickrites are goofy, or that the Flickr search tool has quirks, but they are, and it does :)

  • where did you find all this information? i’d like to find the information like this for my son’s birthday

    Comment by hedgiecrazy619 — August 17, 2010 @ 6:03 pm

  • Here are 2 good places, hedgiecrazy619 –

    1. Paul Sadowski’s Birthday Calculator has neat trivia on the exact day of someone’s birth.

    2. Wikipedia has trivia for a particular day, spanning all years, with historical events and famous folks born and died on that day. To get that, open Google and enter search terms, for example: March 5 Wikipedia

  • What a BEAUTIFUL baby Hope is! I was actually searching for 1909 football and this came up as one of the pictures. She is a darling that caught my eye and brought a smile to my day! And I see in a later picture she stayed true to her beautiful self. ;-)
A late ~*Congrats~* to Dee and Matt!
