first of all, belive me, there’s a BIG difference between aincient icelandic (in writing) and current. My thought is that they just screwed it up or something accidentally say’d norsk, and if it’s supposed to be in norsk, THERE IS A HUUUUUUUGE diffrence between icelandic and norsk, and this movie is awesome, just wanted to point it out x’D
jeg hedder icelander08
ég heiti icelander08
thats danish and icelandic,….small diffrence but still noticable
Comment by icelander8 — August 14, 2010 @ 12:57 am
ill try and defend it a little bit here :p
Most nordic languages were the same a long time ago, and icelandic is like ancient norse (from when the book was supposedly made)
Nicolas disability to read proper is probably just a screwup on their part :p
Anyway the movie rules

Hi I made the previous comment and I’m still trying to figure out where this movie takes place. Iceland? They really transformed my crappy little backwater town into a Christmas-ee place. I’ll give it that.
Also major bonus points for Necronomicon referance

I’m surprised anyone likes this movie at all. I’m from Wetaskiwin (The “city” this was filmed in. I can recognize mainstreet in the panorama in part 1) and I’m doing my best to choke down this movie to see what I can recognize and what I can’t.
Maybe it’s worth a rental, but still… it’s pretty terrible.
